President's Message

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As the Presidents of the Host Society, the Association of Greek Operating Room Nurses Association (GORNA) and the World Forum for Hospital Sterile Supply we are  honored to invite you to the Next Destination for the 10th World Congress of Sterilization, which will be the beautiful island of Crete, in Greece.

The Congress will take place on 07 - 10 October 2009 at the fully equipped, purpose-built Congress Center, Creta & Terra Maris, in Crete.

Crete is a very attractive destination, which traditionally attracts a large number of visitors from all over the world. It is an island of unique interest renowned for its history, its culture, the archaeological sites and the beauty of its natural landscape, and invites you to experience the Greek hospitality.

We strongly believe that this important Congress will provide an opportunity to advance communication between professionals for the further development of Sterilization. It is during this event that participants from the WFHSS, 49 Member Associations, come together whether they are scientists, health care professionals or researchers and have the chance to network, exchange useful knowledge and celebrate the 10th year anniversary of WFHSS congress organization.

In absolute cooperation with the  Congress Committees, we aim to reach a very high scientific level and offer an update on current developments related to Sterilization and disinfection. Internationally recognised scientists and researchers will take part in the scientific program, and the current status from the diverse spheres of Sterilization will be presented in the form of symposia, workshops, keynote lectures, poster sessions and many other events.
