The Scientific Programme of  the 10th World Congress of Sterilization will take place at Level 1, in Plenary Hall ZEUS.

The Scientific Programme of the 20th National Conference on Perioperative Nursing will take place at Level 0, and meeting rooms Leda – Europa, Danae,   Aphrodite – Artemis, Athena

All Workshops will take place at Level 0 and meeting rooms Leda-Europe,  Danae,  Aphrodite- Artemis, Athena and Minos South.

The Scientific Program will consist of Lectures, Round Table Sessions, Oral and Poster Presentations, Satellite Symposia and Workshops. Distinguished speakers from all around the world will be invited.

PRELIMINARY SCIENTIFIC TOPICS

The preliminary scientific topics that will be handled and discussed during the scientific sessions will be the following:

  • Education and certification of CSSD personnel
  • What’ s new in Standardisation for Sterilization & decontamination
  • Legal aspects
  • Quality and the sterilization process
  • The role of the CSSD in patient safety
  • Validation
  • Evidence based guidelines for sterilization and disinfection
  • Infection control issues
  • Emerging pathogens & resistant to sterilants & disinfectants

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Oral and Poster Presentations are welcome to be considered for inclusion in the scientific program of the congress. If an abstract is not accepted for oral presentation, it could be accepted as a poster presentation

Abstract Sessions

Each abstract will be presented as an oral presentation or as a poster

Posters

A designated area in the Exhibition Foyer will be set up for poster sessions

Abstract Submission Guidelines & Criteria

Participants interested in presenting a paper are kindly asked to submit their abstracts electronically at:  www.wfhss-gorna.creta2009.com – Call for Abstracts Section by the 31st of March, 2009.
New deadline for abstract submission (for poster presentations only) July, 30th 2009

The Scientific Committee, will review all abstracts and the authors will be notified about the results of their proposed paper by the 30th of April, 2009

Authors of accepted abstracts will have to register by August 17th, 2009, the latest. Abstracts without registered presenters will be disregarded and not published.

Invited Speaker Presentations

Abstracts for Invited Speakers must be submitted according to the general abstract instructions and should be received by the general abstract deadline of  March 31st, 2009. Please indicate “invited speaker” on your abstract.
